ด้วยหลักการ ใช้เลนส์และแสงหักเหมุมสะท้อนโดยตรง ฉายเป็นภายชิ้นงาน แสดงผลบนจอ Screen การแสดงผลอ่านค่าเป็นแบบ DIGITAL READOUT 
สามารถ ส่องภาพได้ 2 แบบ แบบทึบแสง (จะมองเห็นได้แค่มุมขอบ) และแบบดูพื้นผิว (จะมองเห็นผิวหน้าชิ้นงาน) สามารถปริ้นข้อมูล จากตัวเครื่องได้
